YDA Express Free Warehouse Storage Policy

Learn how YDA Express offers eligible registered customers up to 180 days of free China warehouse storage, when the period begins, and what happens at expiry.

YDA Express provides eligible registered customers with up to 180 days of free warehouse storage for ordinary goods received at our warehouse in China. This gives customers time to purchase from different sellers, wait for packages to arrive, inspect eligible items, and arrange package consolidation before international shipping. If you are new to the service, register to receive your personal China warehouse address before placing an order.

This page explains when the free storage period begins, which packages it normally covers, and what happens when a package approaches or exceeds the applicable storage period.

When Does the 180-Day Storage Period Begin?

The storage period begins on the date the package is recorded as received and entered into the YDA Express warehouse system. It does not begin on the seller’s dispatch date, the domestic tracking creation date, or the date the customer places an order.

Customers should check the warehouse entry date shown in their account for each package. Packages purchased from different sellers may enter the warehouse on different dates, so each package can have its own storage timeline.

Who Is Eligible for Free Storage?

Up to 180 days of free warehouse storage is available to all registered YDA Express customers for ordinary goods that can be accepted and stored under current warehouse and shipping requirements.

Registration alone does not make prohibited, unsafe, unidentified, oversized, damaged, leaking, perishable, or otherwise exceptional goods eligible for ordinary storage. Customers should provide accurate product information and confirm acceptance before sending unusual or sensitive items to the warehouse.

What Can Customers Do During the Storage Period?

The storage period can help customers:

  • receive purchases from multiple Taobao, Tmall, 1688, JD.com, Pinduoduo, or other sellers;
  • wait for orders dispatched on different dates;
  • review warehouse status and available inspection information;
  • decide which eligible packages should be consolidated;
  • plan packaging and international shipping based on destination, product type, urgency, and budget.

For a practical walkthrough, see the package consolidation guide.

Free storage refers to keeping eligible packages in the warehouse during the applicable period. International shipping, optional inspection, special handling, reinforcement, repacking, returns, disposal, or other value-added services may be subject to separate availability, conditions, or charges.

What Happens After 180 Days?

When an ordinary package reaches or exceeds its 180-day free storage period, YDA Express will contact the registered customer and discuss the appropriate next step. Depending on the package status and the customer’s instructions, the parties may agree on shipment, consolidation, return, continued storage, or another available solution.

Continued storage after the applicable free period is not automatic or unlimited. Customers should keep their contact details current, monitor package dates, and respond promptly when contacted.

Special, Oversized, or Abnormal Packages

Special goods, oversized items, damaged parcels, unidentified packages, goods requiring unusual storage conditions, and other abnormal packages may be subject to a different storage period or handling arrangement.

Where appropriate, YDA Express may confirm an extension or another arrangement based on the package’s actual condition, warehouse capacity, safety requirements, shipping restrictions, and communication with the customer. Any extension must be confirmed for the specific package and should not be assumed in advance.

How to Use the Storage Period Responsibly

To avoid unnecessary delays or complications:

  1. Use the correct warehouse address and customer identifier when ordering.
  2. Check that each package has been entered into your account.
  3. Review the warehouse entry date instead of relying only on the seller’s tracking information.
  4. Do not wait until the end of the storage period to ask about restricted, special, or oversized goods.
  5. Arrange consolidation or international shipping early enough to resolve packaging, route, customs, or payment questions.
  6. Keep your email, telephone number, and other contact information up to date.
