Keep an eligible Singapore delivery offer where it helps, and arrange China receiving only for orders with a defined warehouse task. Use three notes per order to check what changes before replacing the delivery address.

Platform and policy information checked: 7 November 2026. The examples concern ordinary goods for personal use.
If a Taobao order qualifies for free delivery to your Singapore address and you do not need a particular warehouse service, keeping that delivery option can make sense. Buying other things on Pinduoduo or 1688 does not mean you should move this eligible order into a China warehouse as well.
Start with what each order actually includes. Then decide which Singapore delivery addresses stay as they are, which purchases need a separate China receiving arrangement, and which orders need another answer before you pay.
Record the Singapore offer before changing an address
At this review date, Taobao's developer description on Google Play advertises a limited 11.11 campaign running from 20 October to 13 November. That is a current promotion, not a permanent promise for every product. Its Singapore App Store description also says that some products offer free shipping and/or local returns.
Use the product and checkout information for your selected variant, quantity and Singapore address. A headline about free shipping is not enough to tell you what this order includes. Check the delivery option, amount payable, tax information and any return service shown for that order.
Before you replace a Singapore address with a China warehouse address, keep these three notes beside the order:
- Original Singapore checkout: the delivery offer and after-sales service actually shown for this item and address. Save the relevant order information.
- Changed receiving arrangement: what the new page shows for price, delivery and after-sales terms. Mark anything you have not confirmed.
- Warehouse task: the specific work you want done in China, if any: a photo of a selected detail, a quantity check, or agreed packing instructions.
Do not assume that an offer shown for delivery to Singapore follows the order unchanged when you select a China receiving address. Equally, do not assume every service disappears. Recheck what the new order shows and ask the platform about anything unclear before paying.
Give different orders different instructions
The purpose of the notes is to divide your actual basket, not to choose one method for everything.
Keep the confirmed Singapore delivery arrangement
Leave an order in this group when the selected item qualifies for the displayed delivery offer, the final payment and after-sales terms are acceptable, and you have no outstanding task that needs the goods held in China.
You do not have to add it to a warehouse shipment merely to make a larger combined parcel. That would introduce a new receiving and onward-shipping arrangement that needs its own price and conditions.
For example, suppose a selected T-shirt qualifies for the current Singapore delivery offer and you are satisfied with the size information. You may keep that order on its existing delivery option while making a different decision about the rest of the basket. This is a hypothetical choice, not a promise about a particular listing.
Arrange China receiving only where it has a job to do
An offer attached to one Taobao order does not tell you how an unrelated Pinduoduo or 1688 order will reach Singapore. Check the delivery arrangements available for those purchases separately. Cross-platform buying is a reason to review the options, not proof that a warehouse is required.
A China warehouse may be useful if you want several eligible domestic deliveries received in one place, need an agreed photo before onward shipment, or want a specific packing decision made after arrival. Write the task down. “Photograph the selected colour and size label” is more actionable than “check everything.”
For a 1688 enquiry, confirm whether the quotation covers the quantity and specification you actually intend to buy. For a Pinduoduo or Taobao retail listing, retain the selected variant rather than relying on the promotional picture. A warehouse can compare visible details with your instructions; a basic photo check cannot establish authenticity, performance or regulatory approval.
Leave unconfirmed orders out of the dispatch plan
If delivery eligibility is unclear, the item has a restriction, or the service you want has not been agreed, do not use a China address as an automatic workaround. Ask why the original option is unavailable and what the alternative can actually accept.
Singapore Customs requires the appropriate authorisation for controlled goods and lists prohibited imports. For example, electronic cigarettes, vaporisers and their components appear on the prohibited list. A seller accepting payment or a warehouse receiving a parcel does not make the item importable.
Items involving batteries, food, health products or wireless functions need their own checks before purchase. Confirm the Singapore requirements with the relevant authority and transport acceptance with the provider. A different receiving address does not replace either check.
Compare the revised order, not just its shipping line
When you consider moving an order out of the Singapore delivery arrangement, compare the same product, variant and quantity. Use the actual platform checkout total and an itemised warehouse proposal. The latter may involve China domestic delivery, agreed receiving or packing services, onward transport and destination charges.
Do not count an unconfirmed voucher as a saving or leave a service fee out because the product itself is cheap. Ask what the proposed transport price includes and where the service ends. Packing weight and dimensions may still need confirmation after arrival.
Free shipping also does not establish that GST is zero. IRAS states that import GST is 9% of the sum of the CIF value and any customs duty; CIF includes cost, insurance and freight. Goods imported by air or post may qualify for import GST relief at a total CIF value not exceeding S$400, excluding liquor and tobacco. That relief does not apply in the same way to sea or land imports, and low-value purchases from GST-registered overseas suppliers can still attract GST at checkout.
Keep any GST payment evidence when reviewing a different shipping arrangement. For the calculation and consolidation questions, use the Singapore GST and CIF worksheet rather than deciding from the free-shipping label alone. An estimate is not the final tax assessment, and commercial handling fees are separate from tax.
Send the warehouse only the instructions you have chosen
If you decide that particular purchases need YDA Express receiving, obtain your assigned China address and warehouse ID in the App and include the ID in each relevant seller's delivery details. Keep the Singapore delivery address on the separate orders that you chose to send directly.
Tell YDA which incoming parcels need the agreed photos or packing treatment. Review the available arrival information while any seller-side issue can still be addressed under that order's current conditions. After the selected parcels are ready, you initiate the forwarding order in the App and confirm which packaging to remove or retain. Keeping original packaging can be a deliberate choice; combining parcels is not compulsory just because they share a warehouse.
The first China parcel forwarding guide explains the receiving and dispatch steps. Confirm the requested work and a currently available onward option with YDA before asking a seller to dispatch. These arrangements do not replace the platform's after-sales process, the importer's obligations or any required professional testing.
Before payment and again before international dispatch, revisit the three notes: what the Singapore order offered, what the revised arrangement actually offers, and what job the warehouse is doing. Promotions, tax rules, product controls and transport conditions can change after this review date. Resolve any missing answer while you can still choose a different order arrangement.
